Masconomet Music Parents Association (MMPA) has partnered with Savers to turn your gently used clothing and soft goods into Education dollars. Savers is a global thrift organization. They partner with nonprofits, including Big Brothers & Big Sisters, Epilepsy Foundation, Vietnam Veterans of American and more. Savers pays a fixed amount per pound of the acceptable items donated. These items then get resold as secondhand merchandise. The Savers family of thrift stores benefit more than 150 nonprofit organizations, gives local consumers a smart way to shop and saves more than 600 million pounds of quality used goods from landfills each year.

By donating good, clean, sellable clothing, fashion accessories, jewelry, shoes, handbags, and linens, you will help raise education dollars that will be used for all Music students in grades 7-12. Your donations are tax- deductible. Our goal is to raise $5,000 to support:
- Curriculum enhancements by supporting and funding Music Workshops, Outreach Concerts and Master classes where professional musicians collaborate with our students. This year Cardamon Quartet and the A Cappella group Overboard will be working with our students in workshops and master classes.
- Supporting student participation in district and state level music festivals
- Transportation of students to events
- Funding outreach concerts such as the University of Maine Singers, New England Brass Band and Overboard (a cappella group)
- Financial awards for students to be used to further their education, love and talent of music - In 2014, MMPA raised $15,000 and recognized 15 students with gift awards in grades 7-12.
